Getting to know Georgia's CCRPI

At GCHS we accept accountability as integral to achieving our school’s mission and vision. We have a dedicated administration and staff who are diligent in their efforts to ensure student achievement. Attendance, attention, and accountability for teaching and learning are key attributes which we honor for our stakeholders.

Georgia’s education stakeholders can be defined as its parents, students, teachers, community members—all of us who have an interest in the progress and performance of our state’s educational institutions.  Therefore, Georgia’s Department of Education specifically delegates to its Accountability Division the responsibility for ensuring that we meet accountability requirements of Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Each school system has an accountability liaison who provides required accountability reports from the Local Education Agency (LEA) to the State Education Agency (SEA).

Our five main components of accountability are achievement, progress, closing gaps, readiness, and graduation rate. The state of Georgia calculates the data for us and we receive a CCRPI score.  It is critical that parents, students, and teachers be collaborative team players in helping our students reach their highest potential.
