GCHS Tome Literacy Society

All GCHS students in grades 9-12 are eligible to become members of our school's Tome Literary Society.  Students and parents are invited to explore the opportunities provided by the organization, which seeks to promote increased achievement in multiple literacies through service, collaboration, competition, leadership, critical thinking, technology skills, mixed media, and imagination.  The culminating activity is TomeCon Academy, an event opportunity for students to participate in a student-led intellectual conference.

Student Application

Do you like to read and are you competitive?  Our GCHS Tome Student Literacy Society is looking for fifteen (15) students who like to read and enjoy talking and competing with each other as well as students from across the state.  In the early spring those members who participate in the various competitions will be invited to a state conference where they can interact with student writers, technology experts, authors and illustrators, and more.  Please return your completed TomeCon student application to one of our Tome Literary Society staff members: Felicia R.
