Instructional Coach

Mr. Wesley Glosson
Mr. Wesley Glosson has been a part of the Greene County education system since 2014. He has taught elementary grades and middle grades in the county and was asked to serve as instructional coach since 2023. His experience in instructional coaching for ELA, Social Studies and Interdisciplinary Education requires him to conduct coaching cycles with teachers, lead model lessons, observation and feedback, curriculum evaluation/implementation and more. Mr. Glosson lives in Morgan County with his family and enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with friends. He believes that education is the most powerful tool for change and the most direct way to improve the lives of every child.

Ms. Jimmie Gilbert
Ms. Gilbert has been an educator in the Greene County School System since 2013. She began at Carson Middle school as an 8th grade physical science teacher. The following years until 2021, she taught math to middle school students, a subject she truly loves.
In 2021, Ms. Gilbert became an instructional coach to support the high school teachers. She provides support to teachers through coaching cycles, coaching conversations, Professional Learning Communities (PLC) and a variety of instructional support.
Ms. Gilbert is a long-time resident of Hancock County where she enjoys the peace and quiet of Mother Nature with her mother, sister, nephew and niece.

Mr. Srinivas Akella
Instructional Coach for Mathematics & Science | District STEM Lead
With over 31 years in education, Mr. Akella brings a wealth of experience and passion to his role as Instructional Coach for Mathematics and Science, as well as STEM Coordinator for the district. He has dedicated 30 years to teaching high school mathematics and holds master’s degrees in both Mathematics and Education.
Throughout his career, Mr. Akella has been recognized for his leadership and contributions to education. He was named District Teacher of the Year for Warren County, served on the State Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council, and is a member of the Georgia State Math Advisory Council.
His teaching philosophy centers on service: “An educator’s role is to serve the students and community so we can shape them for a better future.”
Mr. Akella is happily married to his wife, an accountant at Augusta University. They are proud parents of a daughter, currently studying Biology at the University of Georgia, and a son in 6th grade. In his free time, he enjoys photography and videography, using his creative lens to capture and share meaningful moments.
